Movie Review

Na Maloom Afrad

Just few days back me and my cousins decided to watch a movie, and so we opted for Na Maloom afrad on the believe that it being a Paki Movie will be easier to watch with our families. But my o my the movie had been completely influenced by a typical Indian movie with no story line and even had scenes copied from two famous Indian blockbusters, Hera Pheri and

Na Maloom Afrad is a story of three poverty struked individuals who come to meet each other accidently and together makes a plan to become an overnight rich. Fahad Mustafa playing as Farhan is a sales representative in an insurance company and fails to get even a single client and therefore terminated from job ,Mohsin Abbas Haider playing as Moon was an ex-wedding band player and Is living in Karachi while his family believes he lives in Dubai and last but not the least Javed Sheikh playing as Shakeel Bhai ,he is a government employee who is soon going to be retired and is under the pressure of marrying her younger sister Urwa Hoccance.

The three of them together makes a plan to open a locker account in a local bank and then burn the bank when ever chaos erupts in the city and get the heavy insurance claims, but the plan turns out to be a fail. Somehow by the end of the movie they all get Richie rich.

The movie is full of bold double meaning dialogues which might have attracted and entertained a certain class only, Mahwish Hayat item song ‘Bili’ had no point and was extremely vulgur , another song from the movie “Darbadar” which is a romantic soft one showed urwa hoccane who was running on the streets wearing shalwar kameez and no duppata …I mean who does that ? what kind of culture are they portraying .

Talking about the acting skills ,Mohsin Abbas came out to be the super star with his truly desi lahori accent and superb acting,Javed sheikh no doubt was also excellent throughout the movie but Fahad Mustafa failed to impress.

The latter half of the movie is extremely boring and drags a lot. Coming out of the cinema I was wondering why not we had watched Happy New Year, what a waste of money it was.
